Our take
Boyd Lake State Park has 148 campsites with electric hookups and showers on a 1,700 acre reservoir near Loveland. It is a family oriented park with a swim beach, trails, and nature programs, and it offers winter camping from November through March. Worth noting for 2026 visitors that low water levels closed the lake to boating for the rest of the season, though hand-launched craft and swimming are still allowed.
