Our take
Eleven Mile State Park has 326 campsites spread across nine separate campgrounds around a high alpine reservoir in South Park, about 50 miles west of Colorado Springs. Rocky Ridge is the only campground with electric hookups; the rest are basic sites. Winter camping is available with limited services. A good fit for anglers and campers who want a big lake and wide-open high plains scenery at 8,600 feet.
